Applications

Unified Structure
IPV50 provides the opportunity to create unified systems and to expand since multiple PBXs can be operated as a single system.
IP, digital, ISDN and analog extensions can use the same system without any need for an additional infrastructure. The feature that allows becoming a system extension from different points using softphones, desktop IP phones, videophones, VoIP supported smartphones, IP DECT and analog sets provides flexibility and economy.
IPV50 integrates several product functions such as PBX, IP-PBX, IP-Gateway etc. in a single structure. System software runs on Linux operating system and has features of the open source software architecture and TAPI and CSTA support. This allows integrating additional applications to the PBX easily besides the already integrated applications on the PBX.

IPV50 New Generation IP PBX Solution Supports up to 100 IP extensions and IP lines.
TDM channel capacity can be expanded up to 56 lines in a single system, and up to 184 lines in 3 systems where 56 TDM lines are not adequate. It allows expandable capacity options by adding boards and licenses without replacing the PBX when more capacity is needed.
IPV50 supports Proprietary IP extensions and SIP for the extensions and both SIP and H.323 protocols and new generation audio compression algorithms for the Lines.  Thus, they provide the flexibility to use different peripherals.
Peripherals that can be used with IPV50 communication systems:

  • Standard SIP and Karel SIP Phones
  • Video SIP Phones
  • WiFi SIP Phones
  • Smartphones
  • IP DECT System (IP DECT base stations and IP DECT handsets that support SIP signaling protocol)
  • Other terminals with SIP support

IP communication applications
Extensions are not required to be in the same location with the PBX. Extensions can communicate continuously with access units that can communicate over IP such as IP phones, IP soft-phones, WiFi phones or VoIP enabled smart phones etc. from any point and at any time.

Remote Office applications
In companies with offices in different locations, it is possible to become an extension of the exchange in the head office from anywhere with internet connection without any additional equipment. An extension in a branch office can get connected to the exchange in the head office directly over internet with an IP phone, soft-phone, WiFi phone, IP DECT phone or a VoIP enabled smart phone.
WiFi and IP DECT extensions are also supported by the system just like the standard SIP extensions. Multiple KAREL IPV50 PBXs can call each other with code numbers over IP, and thus, company communication networks with higher capacities can be established.

Video Call
All IP extensions connected to IPV50 Communication System can make video calls between themselves or through external IP lines using videophones, special sets or smart phones.

Mobility
KAREL IPV50 IP PBX extensions can communicate over extension numbers regardless of their location. Communication can be established from any location by becoming an internal extension of the system with an access unit such as IP phones, soft-phones, IP DECT, WiFi phones or VoIP enabled smart phones. These extensions can utilize all centralized applications. And, there is a single numbering plan covering the entire system.
With an IP DECT system that can be integrated to the exchange, it is possible to use the same handset without changing its extension number both in the head office and in any other location containing a base station integrated with the exchange through the Internet.
New generation VoIP enabled smart phones with mobile extension applications allow making calls as an IP extension of the exchange, answering incoming calls, listening to voicemail and utilizing all exchange services offered to IP extensions.
KAREL IPV50 IP PBX Solution provides users the flexibility to continue communication and remain available at any location with Internet connection as an exchange extension by means of a soft-phone or VoIP enabled smart phone over IP, 3G, WiFi or XDSL connections.

Unified Communications Applications
KAREL IPV50 IP PBX Solution provides unified communication benefits such as voice-over-IP, fax-over-IP*, voice recording, conference call, video call, voicemail to e-mail, monitoring presence, instant messaging, remote extension and remote office.
Voice messages, call records and system fault notifications can be sent to the specified e-mail addresses with the aid of integrated voicemail and e-mail applications. Therefore, it is possible to access such data and voicemails from any location.
KAREL IPV50 IP PBX provides convergence solutions for fixed line and mobile communications with mobile extensions used on smart mobile phones. As every VoIP enabled mobile phone with mobile extension software can be defined as an extension to the system, extensions can answer incoming calls from such phones, listen to their voicemails and utilize all IP extension services provided by the exchange.

Presence
Presence allows other extensions to see whether the extension is available, busy, active/passive and the special status that is set by the person himself/herself with a text entry. Thanks to this feature, it becomes possible to access the relevant person with the quickest and most suitable method. All extensions on IPV50 PBXs can monitor their busyness status easily.

Instant Messaging
Instant Messaging features allow extensions to communicate with each other using instant text messages; and therefore communication occurs instantly and there is no waiting period unlike the e-mail communication.

Solutions

Web Based Management
IPV50 has a web server, and can be managed conveniently from anywhere regardless of the location; therefore it provides economy on support and management costs. Extensions may connect to the “Personal Assistant” Web Interface with their own user accouunt, which has an assigned authorization level, either as user, operator or administrator along with their passwords; and they can change the parameters, personal forwarding settings, voice mail settings and their own personal phonebooks as per their authorization levels. Mobile extensions can be accessed and informed from anywhere as long as there is an internet connection and they can change their personal parameters.
KAREL IPV50 can be remotely managed and greeting messages and announcements can be changed both on the DDIVR and the embedded free of charge EIVR. Since all adjustments and uploads can be made remotely, the changes take effect much faster and at lower costs.
Remote management increases the service/maintenance speeds, and lower the costs.

Auto Attendant and Voice Mail Applications
8-Channel LEVM card and DDIVR application provides the enhanced Auto Attendant & Voice Mail services structure of IPV50. Calls are diverted with the greeting and service messages loaded on the LEVM card. Voicemail can be forwarded to the e-mail address of the extensions and hence the messages can be accessible from anywhere with an e-mail connection. It is possible to divert the calls to the mailbox of the operator and the voice mail along with the calling number can be sent to the operator by e-mail for any predefined period of time, e.g. when the system is in night mode. By utilizing specifically designed tools, customized scenarios can be prepared other than the greeting scenarios loaded on the PBX.
When there is no LEVM card on the system, Auto Attendant features are presented to the user with the embdded IVR (EIVR) application that is embedded in IPV50 software (8 channels). There are different scenarios, such as Welcome Message, Busy, Not Responding, Operator Busy, Not Registered in the System and Disabled for Calls Coming from Auto Attendant.
EIVR and DDIVR applications can be managed remotely over the web-based PBX management interface and all settings as well as uploads can be performed remotely. In this way, modifications can be done much faster with lower costs. The language of system messages and current message records can be changed and new language can be added for messages.

Call Recording Capabilities
The automatic voice-recording feature integrated into the system will record calls of the desired port without the need for additional equipment, and these calls can be sent to the relevant e-mail address(es) or recorded to a drive on the network via NFS. Besides, extensions can record their calls by marking them while they are talking and receive the recording as an e-mail at the end of their call.

Computer Telephony Integration (CTI)
IPV50 communication system is convenient thanks to the computer telephony integration (CTI) feature that integrates the telephony functions with available business applications. The server that supports the CTI applications is integrated to IPV50 communication systems. A PC/Server equipment is not required. Net-Console software allows using the CTI features of communication system for analog and digital extensions on the PCs.

Call Recording Software
Call recording software allows lowering the costs by keeping the communication expenses under control. IPV50 communication system allows call charging by recording of all calls, and with methods like detecting the metering pulses and polarity reversal and rated virtual charging. Net-CM application allows transferring the call records to any PC on the network to be used for charging, reporting and various analyses.
Web based Web-CM application allows access to call record lists of several PBXs from anywhere at any time, and taking reports specific to an extension.

Least Cost Routing (LCR)
IPV50 communication system can direct the calls to the route with the lowest cost thanks to the least cost routing feature. Thus, LCR feature provides a great saving in the communication costs that takes an important place in the operational costs.
Alternative route feature allows that the calls are made through other routes if they cannot be made through the first route preference. Particularly, routing the calls to IP operators over IP external lines provide a high level of saving in communication costs.
Incoming calls can be filtered according to caller ID information with the incoming call filter and call can be directed to the required extension.

Conference
The conference feature is a conversation platform that provides multiple participation option for extensions. 4 users may make 4 different conference calls simultaneously. This platform allows making conference calls with participants from remote locations and thus reduces the costs and time spent for meetings.

Conference Room
Users may use their own Conference Rooms that may be personally configured and managed to perform more controllable conference calls with higher capacity.

QoS Support
If the same network infrastructure is used for both audio and data communication due to the rapidly growing corporate network infrastructure investments, QoS support provided by IPV50 PBX ensures continuity of the audio quality by monitoring the performance on the network and taking necessary precautions.

Firewall
Firewall protects the system against SIP attacks and provides secure communication.

Encrypted Calls
Standard sRTP/TLS encryption ensures high level of security in audio communications without the need for VPN installation.

High Audio Quality
IPV50, provides perfect audio quality far beyond the expectations with standard terminals with HD audio quality support and Karel HD terminals thanks to the enhanced audio algorithms in its software.

Central Phonebook
1,000 phone numbers can be stored in the common memory of the IPV50. Common memory is open to all authorized extensions and access to it can be restricted on the basis of authorization levels.

Uninterrupted VoIP Communication and Stable Audio Quality
IPV50 ensures uninterrupted communication and stable audio quality in VoIP applications. Exchange has the capability to detect package losses caused by external conditions and to divert the communication to an alternative route* (e.g. PSTN) until satisfactory quality is obtained in order to provide a stable audio quality. Alternative route definitions can be performed according to the connection or quality of service or both for VoIP external lines.
